Finally and... creativity in a very odd place

So, an acquaintance told me how she keeps a blog of her children's activities and accomplishments as a way to replace a journal and to share with family members who live far away.  Since I purchased 2 journals since 2005 - 1 right after each of my children were born and I wrote in each of them exactly 10 times, I am going to see if technology will help me achieve my motherly duty to record and archive all of the cute, adorable, icky and questionable things my children do in their young lives.

I was inspired today to write down some things Maksim said in the bathroom a few times.  Julie told me once how her daughter would always see shapes in the toilet after she went number 2.  I thought it was funny and at the time and wondered how something like that comes about.  Well, since yesterday after every poo Maksim eagerly stands up and turns around to inspect it.  I need to point out that he has been out of his normal routine lately and going a little bit every time he sits down.  So yesterday after his inspection he pointed and said, "Mom, that's you and me and daddy!"  Today, it was, "That's you and me," and then after a beat or two, "And we're in an airplane."  Airplane????  okay...  Tonight he excitedly declared, "Mom, I just went poop and it's a worm!"  For a second I panicked thinking he has ringworm or something awful until I saw it was just a normal poop.  He even went so far as to tell me some of the things that were in the worm, like cars and trucks.

Alexandra had a hard time falling asleep tonight.  When I laid down in bed with her she said, "Mom, I don't like this, it's so boring when I go to sleep."  Well my dear, it's supposed to be boring, I told her.  "Yeah, but there's really nothing to do.  I want to play Barbie."  She means she wants to play the Barbie games we recently downloaded on our IPad.  It's her newest addiction.  I left her up there and I'm hoping the boredom will come down heavy on her eyelids.
